SBI, the country's largest public sector bank, has asked its customers to stay awake to prevent fraud. SBI has advised its bank account holders to stay away from WhatsApp and social media messages. According to SBI, this message can ask customers for banking databases to seduce customers. SBI has asked its customers not to share OTP rather than any WhatsApp messages.

Fraud is used by the app - this scam gives customers the information associated with the OTP, and asks them to share the original OTP after winning their trust. Such WhatsApp messages are always with a link, which clicking on any dangerous app in the background is installed. The app can steal an OTP from an ATM phone using this app.
2FA Authentication - SBI has assured consumers that the bank can not access any other account without successful validation of two factor authentication.
Do not share details - Banks have urged customers not to share their card, account, bank credentials and OTP with anyone at any cost.

Report on this number - SBI says that if any fraud occurs and a transaction occurs, you can immediately call 1800-11-1109.
The bank has advised consumers to be cautious of any such post. Check availability of such offers only on official channels.
